Easter Blessings to all!!

I always love all the violets that bloom thire hearts out in the spring. I had to snap this at work. The ground was lavender with them. Violets and especially pansy's are my favorite flowers, along with so many others.

This is
my Teapot My Sis and Aunt give me. I sure enjoy using it this time of year.

The little rabbit candle  was mine when I was little. Same with the plaster rabbit holding the egg. It has 10cents on the bottom still.

Our Girls' were all decked out for Easter!!

I made these dresses for our girls many yrs. ago for their Easter. The sleeveless one had a cape and was Beth's for her 2nd Easter.  Then Ms Sara came along and I made them dresses alike for that yr. Always had to have ruffle socks and shiney white shoes. In my day, you usually had white gloves also. My how times ===do change.

Memories from Easter's past and today!!

This little bonnet was worn by many yrs. ago and I carried this hankie in my patent leather purse. It has to be atleast 60 yrs. old or shall I say young. It has made many moves with us, but I always keep it out on display.

HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!!!

The dogwood along with the white Easter lilies always makes me think of this time of year. We are so blessed with such beautiful things around us. May we take time out to realize that Jesus died on the cross  to save us all. It is with a humble heart -- that I hope I can live my Life for Him.   Have a Blessed Easter, everyone.

Remembering Easter 's from our past.

All these little pretties make think of the many Easter's past. The cross-stitch tablecloth myMom
made me many years ago with love in every stitch. Some of the bunnies were mine as a little girl. Those are very "antique", but priceless. The white teapot always had a spot of coffee in it, and lots of cream and sugar at my Grandma's house. Our  Grandkids will be in LA this Easter. This is the first yr. we did not have a egg hunt, but they do grow up. We enjoyed fresh fish, Fresh mushrooms, and b-b-q and many other good things last night with them for a early celebration. We have lots of wonderful memories to hold on to.May all have a Blessed Easter!!!

A day of enjoying the Sun (and wind)

The sky is darkening as the eve. creeps upon us. I am getting out some of the bunnies. Also working in my little shed that I have many plans for--- It was built by my Dad for our 2 girls in 1974 and now our Granddaughters have grown-up. So now Grandma has  a lot of sorting and fixing up to do. So many magazine clippings and pictures I want to try-- Guess you might say,  I want to create a little quiet place to sew and craft. We can always dream--- Everyone be safe tonight!!

The sun set is bright on the western sky. And on the return to our home the next morning, the redbuds are showing their  beauty. We have so much to be thankful for and enjoy.

There are so many vineyards around Hermann. Lots of older buildings that have been kept restored. A person could spend a lot of time browsing thru this area.

Spring oh!! beautiful Spring!!!

You can almost smell the fragrance  from the Lilacs that were blooming in my Friends yard. They are some ahead of us up here in the Northern part of the state. We like to go down there to enjoy the beauty of the Ozark hills. Maybe  we will take our camper and hideaway by the streams this summer!!

Roadtrip south to enjoy the Spring flowers!!!

Every Spring I love to take a drive to the ozark Hills to see the beauty that the hills present to us. My Hubby and I took off on Sat. and drove down thru Hermann and on to Steelville to visit friends. The pink Redbuds and all the  flowering trees  gave their beautiful faces for all to see. The dogwood was just starting to come out and showed up in all the woods, where the leaves had not come out. It is such a beautiful sight to see. Missouri has such a variety of colors in the months of April and May. The Church was on the hill as you cross the bridge into Hermann. Hope you enjoy some  of our pictures. I am also well-known for the picture taking  of the dash and post of the truck.

Today was a awesome day. I had to work, but I did get a spurt of energy when I got home tonight and worked in the yard. The red bud is budding out and all the little flowers are bringing gorth their beauty. We have radishes , lettuce and onions up. There is a special feeling when you can go out and get things out of your garden to put on the table. My Dad and  Mom and My  Grandparents always had such a beautiful garden. I don't follow in their footsteps like I should, but We sure try------.The strawbery bed has a few less weeds tonight---can't wait to have some to pick. Everyone enjoy these beautiful April days and all the awesome sights of spring. The flowering trees and the green grass and all the pretty flowers.

oh the winds of change

just yesterday it was in the 80's. Now today we have a cold north wind. My Sis and I got our pansy's out in the sun yesterday. They still have their pretty faces up today. They are one of my favorite flowers. I guess because they are the first to let me dig in the dirt. My jonquils look so pretty also. The tulips are just coming up. The trees in town are showing their beauty everywhere. Maybe the cold will be short-lived. Well, I am going to surprise my Sis when she gets home toeay. I did this on my own for the 1st time. She is a very good teacher. Love to all and have a great day!!!

Happy April

The Rainbow Journey

I thought I found the pot at the end of the rainbow today. It was a
beautiful day and  my flowers are starting to bloom.  My little flag says bloom where you are planted. Don't we just love that.  I am a week late on my new post, but hang in with my new adventure.
